\nChief Superintendent Deanne Burleigh joined the RCMP in 1985 and since then has risen through various detachments and departments until becoming Chief Superintendent and the Officer in Charge (OIC) of Burnaby Municipal Detachment in 2017\, Canada'\;s second-largest RCMP detachment\, and one of the force'\;s most senior ranking female members.
