SUMMARY:Burnaby Mountain Gondola- A Discussion With Translink
DESCRIPTION:On November 23\, TransLink kicked off Phase 2 of their public engagement campaign for the Burnaby Mountain Gondola project. The proposed gondola would connect SkyTrain to the top of the mountain at SFU. A gondola would provide fast\, frequent and reliable service\, improving connectivity for students\, employees and residents who travel between Burnaby Mountain and other parts of Metro Vancouver. The public consultation will run from November 23-December 14\, 2020.\n\n \n\nThere are three proposed routes the gondola could take. Two options would see the gondola connect to SkyTrain at Production Way University Station and one would connect at the Lake City Way Station. Those routes are being assessed in terms of travel times\, costs\, environmental impacts\, as well as neighbourhood interests\, such as noise\, safety and privacy.\n\n\n\nJoin the Burnaby Board of Trade as we hear from Translink about this exciting potential new project. Learn how you can have your say during the public consultation period.\n\n\n\nEvent Details:\n\nDate: Thursday December 10th\n\nTime: 1:00pm-1:45pm\n\nCost: Free for BBOT members\n\nVenue: Online Zoom \n\nRegistration: Click here to register with your e-mail address\, or e-mail us or call 604-412-0100.\n\n*webinar details will be sent in advance
