About Our Venue:

The historic Columbia Theatre has been newly-renovated, reclaiming its position as the prime jewel in the crown of the Royal City. Built in 1927 by Famous Players, the Columbia Theatre was the centerpiece of New Westminster's bustling Columbia Street strip.

Today, The Columbia has two superb renovated venues, available to rent for your event. The main theatre has become the Grand Room, a cabaret-style facility with group seating on four levels, ideal for corporate, community and entertainment events. The Baby Grand Room is a large but intimate venue which is perfect for corporate functions and wedding receptions.

The Columbia has been completely renovated, from the warm and inviting lobby area to the elegant and spacious event showrooms. The street level exterior has been redone, with replicas of the original Moorish columns recast from existing pieces and marquee signage facing both up and down Columbia Street announcing the current events and attractions. The Columbia is, once again, open for business.
