Join the Burnaby Board of trade for the launch of our newest program, Burnaby Young Professionals Network.
The Burnaby Young Professional Network (BYPN) is an initiative that seeks to engage Burnaby’s emerging young professionals in all sectors of business. The BYPN will hosts events and learning opportunities for emerging leaders. The goals of the network are to help young professionals build strong networks in the community as well as promote the development of useful skills that can help them in their careers and future opportunities.
The launch event will feature a panel of speakers who embody the passion, creativity, and drive of successful leaders.

Our Speakers:
Andrew Harries was recently appointed the inaugural Tom Foord Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Simon Fraser University and chairs the board of directors at Bsquare Corporation, which delivers enterprise Internet of Things software solutions. He previously co-founded Sierra Wireless, a NASDAQ-listed wireless devices and applications vendor, where he served in a variety of leadership roles as the company grew from inception through IPO to over $200m in annual revenue. He subsequently co-founded Zeugma Systems Inc where he served as President and CEO until it was acquired by Tellabs in 2010. Andrew holds three US Patents and a Masters of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
Jill Earthy is an entrepreneurial minded leader with a passion for growing the Canadian ecosystem of entrepreneurs and investors. As Chief Growth Officer of FrontFundr, an online investment platform, she bridges the gap between these groups by helping companies access capital in an open and efficient way while connecting with a broad range of investors. She has also started, grown and sold two national small businesses and currently serves on the Board of Governors for Simon Fraser University (SFU) as well as Board Chair of the Women’s Enterprise Centre. Jill was previously CEO of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, Regional Director of Futurpreneur Canada, and Co-Founder of WEB Alliance. She is well recognized for her contributions as a community leader and active mentor and was recently named one of 35 Most Influential Women in BC by BC Business Magazine.
Amelia Warren, at age 32, is one of the youngest female CEOs in Canada and the youngest direct sales CEO in North America. Amelia runs Epicure, the largest and fastest growing direct sales company in the nation. Under her leadership Amelia has positioned Epicure as a leader in the good food movement, doubled revenues and launched the Epicure Foundation, Epicure’s charitable foundation. Amelia is a recognized business leader and entrepreneur. She is a recent winner of BC Business 40 under 40 and Profit Magazine W100 Top Canadian Entrepreneurs. She is also an active member of the global Young President’s Organization and is a Board Member for the British Columbia chapter.
