Foreign exchange (FX) rates fluctuate wildly throughout the year and, in turn, impact the costs of internationally traded goods and services. While currency values change minute to minute, business purchases and sales occur on a longer timeline and businesses are challenged to predict what the value of their purchases or sales will be once invoices come due.
 
For businesses that buy or sell goods and services across the border, FX risk can have a real impact on profit margins and, in serious instances, can threaten a company’s viability. Despite this, foreign exchange risk is often seen as something with no real solution – FX losses are viewed as simply a “cost of doing business”. Fortunately, during this presentation you will learn about real tactics for protecting your business from negative impacts due to FX risk, tactics which large multinationals have been using for years. This presentation is intended for an audience new to the concepts of currency risk and FX hedging.
