Join us for a dynamic one-hour Anti-Racism webinar with The MOSAIC Centre for Diversity.
Our presenters will emphasize the importance of inclusivity and diversity, with a specific focus on hiring newcomers. This webinar is designed to provide participants with actionable strategies to combat racism, promote diversity, and create inclusive workplaces where newcomers are welcomed and valued.
This online session will focus on:
- Understanding Racism and Inclusivity: Defining racism, exploring the importance of inclusivity, and understanding the impact of racism on individuals and organizations.
- Anti-Racism practices: Offering practical strategies and best practices for addressing racism, promoting diversity, and creating inclusive workplace cultures.
- Embracing Newcomers: Providing insights on recruiting, onboarding, and supporting newcomers in the workplace, while emphasizing the value of diversity and cultural enrichment.
- Building Inclusive Communities: Discussing the role of small businesses, organizations, and individuals in advancing inclusivity, combating racism, and creating spaces where everyone feels respected and valued.

About Our Presenters:
David Lee is the Director of Employment, Language, and Social Enterprise at MOSAIC. He works with employers across sectors and industries to connect with them newcomers and other groups to fulfil their workforce needs.
Payvand Gonzalez is the Director of People and Culture at MOSAIC. She oversees the HR department, volunteer department, and the Center for Diversity. She works with every layer of the organization to ensure holistic and equitable people practices and policies are implemented through an EDI, anti-racist, and accessibility lens.
